We started out like most of you, with “A Few Good Fish…” But our love for African cichlids soon filled our home with tank after tank various species of African cichlids. We haven’t forgotten how we started out, learning with a few good fish, so we kept it as our motto, so we would never forget the cichlid fans just starting out.

With so many species becoming endangered in the wild, raising African cichlids can help save a species that might otherwise become extinct. As freshwater fish, African cichlids are easy and clean to keep and as beautiful as many of the saltwater reef fish, yet often more economical.  They are generally active fish that dig and chase each other around—cichlids are fish with personality.

We aim to keep what the big guys don’t have. Our breeding stock comes from the highest quality suppliers of wild caught or first generation tank raised fish.
